5.0 out of 5 stars. Midlayer extraordinaireVerified Buyer Reviewed by Hyrule Defender from Targhee on Monday, January 14, 2019Best midlayer I’ve ever owned. Have had products from Arc’teryx, Mammut, TNF, among others but none so comfortable and warm as this. I definitely wear on those cold powder days, but avoid on days that are relatively warm as this keeps in a TON of heat.

5.0 out of 5 stars. Versatile, comfortable hoodieVerified Buyer Reviewed by Eli from Seattle, WA on Sunday, November 25, 2018The medium fit me (5'9" 160) perfectly and this jacket is great for cool weather everyday wear as well as a great addition for backpacking. The good has no tighteners (that I've found anyway) but it's a good fit anyway.

5.0 out of 5 stars. High quality outerwearVerified Buyer Reviewed by Ryanbikes from MN on Thursday, November 15, 2018As you'd expect from Marmot, this is a wonderful jacket. It is warmer than it's weight would imply (I am a PrimaLoft fan, and that was part of my motivation for buying this piece), and provides appreciable protection from the wind (and water with it's DWR). It is a comfortably roomy Medium, which allows for layering to suit conditions. I wouldn't hesitate to buy this one again.

5.0 out of 5 stars. Calen is a great jacketReviewed by Anonymous from Israel on Monday, March 23, 2015I have the Marmot Calen without a hood
I would buy the Hoodie in an instant if it was in my size -
4.0 out of 5 stars. Really good thin jacket not good fitVerified Buyer Reviewed by Anonymous from Tennessee on Saturday, February 28, 2015First I was pleased to see how nice and thin the synthetic insulation on this jacket was but as soon as I tried it on new it wouldn't be my go to jacket. As are many jackets in the outdoor segment it is too tight under the arm pit area. I bought another Marmot on clearance last year and the fit was more true to size. At least my son can wear it until my Nano puff hoody comes in.

4.0 out of 5 stars. Love the coat, but hate the colorReviewed by Siberian Husky from ATL on Wednesday, February 25, 2015I got this to use as a mid-layer. It has a good slim fit. Great fit, but a little bulky compared to the packable Brooks Range Cirro Hoody, so this will be for home/base camp use. Overall, it is a great jacket at a great price. I am 5' 10" 155lbs and the fit of the medium is better than I expected. The brown moss color is actually more of an olive drab or something. Strange color combination with the bright yellow zipper. I wish it had been available in a different color. Love the coat, hate the color.

4.0 out of 5 stars. Excellent jacketVerified Buyer Reviewed by Anonymous from Texas on Wednesday, February 18, 2015The Calen hoodie is very lightweight, packable and quite warm with it's primaloft insulation. It has pockets galore and is comfortable to wear. My only knock against it is that it states it has a DWR coating...and I do not think it does. Do not expect it to keep you dry. Other than that, it is great and recommended.
