But, while a little stiff, I find them to be comfortable and true to size. The heel is short making them easy to wear everyday. I think as they get broken in, they look more like leather and less synthetic. It's a great brand at a great price making it worth the purchase.

I had a difficult time zipping. The boots are good looking, but I wondered how they could be waterproof with a full-length zipper.

They pinched behind my knees when sitting. I have short and wide calves. It was loose around the heel. They are waterproof and leather though. Returned. I got the Softspots Carter Tall Boots instead.

Although I don't think I have large calves, the fashion industry does. It's hard to find boots that fit my calves, and I thought these would be perfect. That was not the case at all. The boots were too tight on the inside my calves, and it looked like my skin was spilling over the boot. The weird thing was that there was a gap between the boot and my outer calf. It gave an unflattering look so they had to go back. The boots also felt loose in the ankles like someone else mentioned. I had concerns that it would lead to blistering.

It would be wonderful for someone with a wide heel/ankle. I guess I have a narrow heel to forefoot ratio, because I had way to much movement in the heel when I tried to walk. Had to return them.

I remember them as good shoes and they don't dissappoint, 35+ years later! These fit true to size, the shaft is generous. They are a classic style. I love the fact they're water resistant and warm. With the STP extra deals, these area no brainier!
