They are comfortable, and look good with jeans. I take out the insert and put in a Pedors Beats orthotic that has metatarsal arch support and posted heels. --This with the Merrell shoe makes me very comfortable.
I have several Merrell Encore shoes --I like the patterns and colors. I wish that Merrell would make more of these. I was glad to find these discontinued shoes at Sierra Trading Post at a very good price. (I bought two pairs of Merrell Encore shoes from Sierra Trading Post and another from Amazon when I realized that Merrell is no longer making the cool designs that I love...
I have another pair of Encore shoes that I have had a couple years... I have worn them for shopping and even yardwork, and they are still going strong. I expect that these shoes will last well, too. -

They fit true to size. The upper fabric looks & feels like a heavy felt, so I'll be looking to see how well they stand up in the rain (the older ones were leather).

They are a stiff clog but it is what works best for my feet..good support on sides and sole. I've just worn then 2times and may soften a bit with time. Even wearing them all day the first time they were comfortable..and I'm on my feet all day. I actually got both colors and love them..wish for more designs in this particular style!
