5.0 out of 5 stars. Very nice folding poles

I really like the small size and quick deployment of folding trekking poles, but some that I have tried have too much "play" in the joints and do not seem like they would stand up to the rigors of trail use. However, these Leki poles are the most solid of any folding poles I have tried. There is still a very small amount of play, but I am confident they will hold up fine on the trail.

They are very lightweight, well made, and have the most comfortable grips of any trekking poles I have used. I like the way the grip material extends several inches below the actual hand grip, so you can grip down easily for uphill climbs. Very happy with this purchase!

  • 5.0 out of 5 stars. Great, light Z-Poles

Just used these in the Eastern Sierras on a long 56 mile trip over rugged terrain, crazy rocks, etc.

They were strong, durable, light and just what I wanted. I was forever hating the adjustable poles--such a bother. The collapsible feature and one-length makes it so much easier.
  • 5.0 out of 5 stars. My first set of hiking poles

I'd never used hiking poles in the past, but an upcoming multi-day trip across very strenuous terrain has forced me to buy a pair. I've hiked with others who use LEKI brand poles, and was fortunate enough to find this pair at a great price.

These poles collapse nicely and are easy to stow away on my pack when not needed. They are lightweight and so far for me are very durable.
  • 4.0 out of 5 stars. Uhhhh!

Great quality. Nice poles. Challenge is they do not adjust. When I hike I like my poles longer going down, and shorter going up. They are super light, come with a nice pack bag. Fit in a back pack nicely. I would buy them again. The adjusting is easily overcome, but all my previous hikes have been with adjustables. Great brand for sure.
  • 4.0 out of 5 stars. Wonderfu poles

I really like the poles. Great for all terrains I have traveled and will be at my side for all outdoor ventures involving any degree of hiking. These poles are very lightweight and comfortable even after many miles and break down and set up very quickly, the only disadvantage of the poles is that it's not be adjusted the length?
  • 5.0 out of 5 stars. All things considered, these are very good

Up until now, I have not been a big user of poles for hiking. However, I am getting older and my hips have some arthritis and they are beginning to bother me on steep inclines. I am hiking Glacier for 3 weeks at the end of July and thought I probably should consider getting something to help, if the hips decide some help would be good. We are doing preparation hikes, so I have been using them now.

MY CRITERIA WAS: I did not want to spend a lot of money. I wanted a sturdy pole that was also very lightweight. I wanted a comfortable hand grip and did not want to do a lot of messing around to collapse and put together.
    RESULTS --
PRO: For the price, these poles are amazing. They collapse down to 15", which is great for all types of luggage and back packs. They are very lightweight with nice hand grips, so they do not feel heavy as you walk along. Your hands do not get clammy or take on a smell from the hand grips. Putting them together and collapsing is easy and takes less than a minute. One push button releases and then fold/unfold.
CON: You have to know the length of pole that is right for you, because they DO NOT adjust. The length you buy is the length you get.

About LEKI

The company behind LEKI ski poles was founded in 1948 by Karl Lenhart. Dissatisfied with the equipment of his day, Lenhart spent considerable time and effort engineering what would soon become some of the best ski poles in the world. In the years since, LEKI poles have evolved from fiberglass composite shafts to aluminum and carbon fiber. In 1974, LEKI trekking poles were the first on the market to feature an adjustable-length shaft and, within four years, the poles were helping climbers summit Mount Everest. Select LEKI poles now feature anti-shock and Speed Lock adjustment technology, and the product range has even expanded to include LEKI gloves specially designed for mountaineering and skiing.
