I think the cushioning is as described. I would describe the weave as tight and I believe they will last through many hikes. I used them on a short hike and they were very comfortable. I'm ordering more.

So I bought this pair, hoping they'd be a bit thicker than the lightweight "city" socks I'd purchased the first time. Indeed, they're not just thick, but very warm, and more importantly, incredibly comfortable. I have narrow feet, so I happen to like the relatively form-fitting arch area, although I could see others finding these tight.
I'll be buying Point6 socks next time I need a new pair.
