5.0 out of 5 stars. Solid shellVerified Buyer Reviewed by Beefy Bananza from Idaho on Monday, January 11, 2016I bought this jacket for backcountry skiing and I've only used it once, at 5 degrees with 25 mph winds. I started with multiple insulating layers underneath, but found I did not need all of them. I could not feel the wind through the coat. I have not used it in rainy conditions yet.
This feels like a sturdy, well make jacket. It is not lightweight, if you are looking to sacrifice some effectiveness for less weight. However, I cannot give a fair weight-to-effectiveness comparison of similar products, so I'm not trying to say it is too heavy.
The pit zips are a nice feature. -
5.0 out of 5 stars. Great Jacket!Verified Buyer Reviewed by Anonymous from Oregon on Tuesday, December 29, 2015Mid-weight, sturdy, very water-resistant. We get a lot of rain in Oregon, and this is an ideal winter shell for our climate.

5.0 out of 5 stars. Great jacket, high quality and waterproofVerified Buyer Reviewed by Moving from Portland, OR on Monday, December 21, 2015I've been very pleased with this jacket. It's attractive, well built, and it's kept me dry biking around Portland in unusually heavy rains.
