Now I don't have to drop my pack and get the hard shell pants out when the weather turns bad (less stuff in my pack!) The full length zips are awesome for ventilation. I wore them in strong winds on Mt. Hood last week without longies and was totally comfortable. I was wearing a Patagonia Knifeblade jacket with just a T under and my upper body was cold.
