5.0 out of 5 stars. Stand alone down jacketReviewed by Emoney from Denver on Thursday, February 12, 2015I was looking for a down jacket that could serve as my sole piece of outwear without being too puffy. I'm very happy with the Marmot Guides Jacket (this is the 2014-2015 version). I've noticed a lot of brands moving to the ultra light down mid-layer jackets that just can't stand up to cold temps on their own. The Guides jacket is not as thin as the ultra light jackets and I haven't tried using it as a mid-layer, just something to keep in mind if you want it for that purpose. It's definitely not as puffy as some old school down jackets, which I appreciate.
I'm a consistent size 12 and the large fits well. Thanks STP for a great price on a great product!
