5.0 out of 5 stars. So ToastyVerified Buyer Reviewed by Lynnie from Baltimore on Tuesday, January 10, 2017I love this jacket, especially its length. As with all Marmot items, it's well made in all respects. I only wish there were more interior pockets. It runs a little small--I ordered a medium, which fits perfectly, although I usually wear a size 4.

4.0 out of 5 stars. So soft and warmVerified Buyer Reviewed by RedMolly from Northern California on Friday, December 23, 2016This jacket arrived last week and I've worn it every day since. It's incredibly soft and flattering. I've received so many compliments. Full disclosure: I live in Coastal Northern California and our temps haven't dipped below the high 20s, but for someone constantly cold, this coat eliminates the damp chill. The only reason I give it 4/5 is the zipper. Mine is a bit wonky at the base, and doesn't seem to close securely at the bottom. Otherwise, highly recommend!

5.0 out of 5 stars. GREAT COAT!!!!Verified Buyer Reviewed by Nic from New Hampshire on Monday, December 5, 2016Got this jacket to be a warm barn coat. Love the fleecey interior but the smooth sleeves. This works best for me with a t-shirt and thin sweatshirt if I'm going to be working hard and an extra fleece or sweatshirt if I'm going to have periods of inactivity. It's not super warm just for standing around. The magnetic fasteners for the flap are magical. I hadn't noticed that in the specifications but instead of press studs there are little magnets that keep the flap over the zipper. Love. It sheds water from snow or light rain. Haven't tried it in drenching weather, I don't think it's supposed to be waterproof. It also is easy to brush off hay and shavings and mud from horse lips!!! I am loving this coat.

5.0 out of 5 stars. Northern Lights Here I Come!Verified Buyer Reviewed by Anonymous from Somewhere Too Hot on Saturday, June 25, 2016The Marmot Alderbrook Down Parka - 700 Fill Power is perfect! I needed a 'puffy jacket' for a trip to the Arctic this winter and, after listening to the advice of cold weather friends, I knew what to look for in a jacket. This one meets all the points I was told to watch for: It is a jacket, but long enough to cover my hips and bottom - better for keeping me warm! It has a soft, warm lining, also in the sleeves (with 'wrist cuffs') so wind won't get up the sleeves. The neck is high and also roomy enough for me to wear a wool scarf comfortably around my neck. The magnetic flap along the zipper will also add warmth. I purchased a *size larger than my usual size as the jacket does have a snug fit. The larger size allows for layering with ease.
*I first ordered my regular size, but returned it because it was too snug to allow layering beneath. Sierra Trading Post's telephone customer service lady was so nice!! Very helpful and courteous. She made the exchange to a larger size a very easy procedure.
I only wish the jacket had a hood, but having to wear a woolen cap is a small thing considering how ideal the jacket is in every other way.
Another plus: the jacket is incredibly light, so I can easily carry it on my arm on the plane. Or even pack it as it is possible to fold it quite small, if wished.

5.0 out of 5 stars. All good.Verified Buyer Reviewed by GooberPP from Maine on Monday, February 8, 2016This is a nice looking parka, well made, and it is warm. It has two hand warmer pockets and one inside pocket that all zip. It does not have a hood but my wife never uses a hood, so it's all good.

5.0 out of 5 stars. Great coat!Verified Buyer Reviewed by Emily from Santa Fe on Monday, February 8, 2016I love this coat! I had been looking for a new coat for a long time that was warm but not huge and puffy. The style of this coat is perfect, sleek and slimming while also a bit sporty with the two tone. The warmth is outstanding, the fleece lining in the torso area makes it feel toasty!

4.0 out of 5 stars. lovely warm parkaVerified Buyer Reviewed by WCT from Saint James-New York on Tuesday, February 17, 2015I really like this parka. I was looking for a knee length down coat but at this point in the season not much is left. I found this jacket and the color is great plus it is very warm. I just wish it were a bit longer but it is a parka so that is not its fault. I do think it should have more interior pockets to store things- one small one is not enough these days. But for warmth--it is great. I wear a size 6, am 5"4" and 126 pounds. This size 6 is snug and with a sweater really snug. I would say this is on the slim side-which means it looks nice but does not allow for too many layers.
