If left open, the side of the vest gaps open and looks weird. I gave it to my daughter to wear skiing. Not going to work for me.

The seaming and fill are also just right. The only problem is the hand warmer pocket zippers. They are so long and unzip from the top that when they are fully unzipped to put your hands inside, the pockets gape open unattractively and don't do all that much to keep out drafts.

If you are larger in the chest, this should fit well. On me, the armpits gapped obviously and unattractively. Also, the hand pockets run from the waist to the chest and that would take some getting used to. The fit is true to size but it is definitely not designed for the flat chested.
