However, it shrank in length a few inches after a handwash in cold water, followed by a line dry. This might be good news if you wish for the skirt to be shorter than how it arrives from STP, but it wasn't for me as I am quite tall and now it is quite short.

It's rayon. But don't be afraid! I ran mine through the washer in a lingerie bag, then hung it to dry, and it didn't even really need the touch-up I gave it with an iron. I'm 5'6" and wear a size 14, and this skirt in size large goes just below the knee and fits perfectly. Can't wait to wear it with boots when the weather gets cooler!
