Heads will turn as you strut by - I guarantee it! However like all things European, sizing differs completely from US sizing. I am a size 4 and I bought the size 8 and it was still too small. With a heavy heart I had to return it.
Please keep in mind that cotton waxed jackets (not just Barbour) are not really very warm for severe winters. I find them a little clammy and heavy.
Also pay close attention to the wash instructions. You are apparently not supposed to machine wash them. (If you ever need to rewax, I believe there is some outfit in NYC that specialized rewaxing Barbour jackets for about thirty bucks.) -

I got this one in size 10, and its tight from the chest to the hip, but very big on my shoulders. This jacket is very poorly constructed.

Your best bet would be to go up two US sizes from what is listed under the US sizes on the website. Tight across the shoulders and chest. Other than that, a well made jacket.

Biker Jacket I've Been Waiting For!Reviewed by arks08 from Aheville, NC on Monday, August 24, 2015I LOVE everything about this jacket BUT I am so disappointed that it fits too tightly in the bust and in the arms!! That's why I only gave it a 4-star rating. I wear a US size 2 or 4 and I ordered the size 10 which is too small:( It feels really warm and is great quality. I only wish it weren't too tight:(
