Most Helpful 5-Star Review

5.0 out of 5 stars. Really comfortable from the first wearing

I got these in Men's (I'm a woman) because the Keens run small and they didn't have a big enough size in women's. The reviews stated that they can be narrow, which actually was exactly what I was looking for as some men's shoes run really wide. I'd say for a woman's foot, they are 'medium' width. I ordered one whole size up from what I would normally wear, and that is just perfect in terms of the toe box. The shoe is extremely comfortable from the first wear, especially around the ankle where some hiking boots can be stiff until you wear them in.

  • 1.0 out of 5 stars. No so keen.

I have lots of Keens in my closet and overall they are great shoes. I wanted to use this hiker for a trip I am planning this summer. The size was okay but there is a large sewn seem in the ceiling of the toe box. Maybe I just have toes like Fred Flintstone but after walking around for about five minutes, I could tell it would give me a blister. I returned them for a refund.

I have a pair of Keen work boots that are very comfortable, these are very light and comfortable. Light shoes are not easy in a size 14 either. I will definitely look for these again when I need another pair.

The Keen hiking boots have been a go to favorite. Have ordered several different styles and have been happy with every one. I have a wide foot and have found I need to order a 1/2 size large for the best fit.

I wanted a lightweight, non-waterproof boot for general walking and day hiking. I have had problems with waterproof boots in the past, especially rashes. I have been wearing these for a couple of weeks in mixed surface walking. I had to switch from mid-weight to heavy-weight socks to fill the ample toe box, but otherwise these are working for me.

These boots didn't look or feel like Keep mid boots of the past. The footbed contained little in the way of arch support, heel cup and was in general much less padded than previous Keen mid hiking boots. I returned them.

About Keen

Keen shoes have been helping feet find adventure since 2003, and it all began with the signature KEEN.PROTECT toe bumper. It might seem strange to build a footwear company around a feature, but that iconic toe bumper is more than just a style add-on. It’s what allows Keen sandals to hit the trails and provide the best toe protection possible. In fact, Keen was one of the first footwear companies to make closed-toed hiking sandals. Over the years, the product selection has continued to grow and now includes Keen hiking boots, trail shoes, cycling shoes, socks, clothing and bags. The brand is also actively involved in land and water conservation projects in the US, Canada, Europe and Japan.
