The wool is very soft yet sturdy. The color is excellent and the overall quality of the sweater is as you would expect from Barbour. Since this was my first Barbour sweater purchase I didn't know that I should have sized up since it seems to run a bit small. But, that was my fault, and I would recommend this or any other Barbour sweater.
