My cat fell in love and sleeps on them every night. My doors open and close over them, but if you have tight fitting doors, you might have a problem with the thickness of the rug. The swirl design is intense and a bit shocking, but eventually you get used to it and it blends in. I don't mean that in a negative way, but if you want subtle, this is not the rug for you. The camel-brown color matches my cinnamon colored kitchen cabinets perfectly. I bought four of these rugs. Three are really close in color, but one is slightly darker. Luckily that one is not in the same room as the other three, so it is not an issue for me.
