2.0 out of 5 stars. love the boots hate the zippers :(Reviewed by betsy b from wisconsin on Friday, April 7, 2017i love these boots - they are nice looking, fit my calves just fine (i saw that others had problems with this), and are comfortable enough to walk all day in them, and i have. however, they have the cheapest zippers ever made - i have hoodies with better zippers! the zipper on one separated and the other looks close behind. the cost to replace these with good sturdy ones is more than i paid for the boots, so probably not going to do it - if you have a cobbler for a friend, then go for it. i'm giving these 2 stars however because they are comfortable and good looking -- if not for this zipper issue i'd love them.

I really wanted to love both pairs I bought, but I couldn't get them over my calves. So, another try.
If you have smaller calves, and are looking for gorgeous waterproof boots in classic colors that will wear like iron - these are they. -

I took a chance and ordered these boots though, as I was afraid the calf would be too snug. They were, however, perfect! I would love to give them a bad review so I could keep them all to myself, but I can't. I can't stop gushing about them, in fact. They are all-day comfortable right out of the box, have great traction, and best of all, fit my 15 inch calves comfortably. I got the Ebony and they are great as they have black soles instead of the tan. A great buy! I think I may have to get a brown pair too!

They fit perfectly, both in shoe size and on my calf. The leather is thick and the craftsmanship is beautiful. Definitely a quality pair of boots. I will get lots of use out of them in our Washington weather! Terrific value too!

I'm sorry I did. I had to return these beautiful boots and was unable to reorder in my correct size (out of stock). They are lovely practical boots for this rainy climate while still being dressy/casual to wear with a skirt. I'm sorry to have missed owning a pair.

I had to return and order a size 9. The 8.5 fit, but if I wanted to wear warm socks or pants other than tights/leggings it would be near impossible. As other reviewers wrote - the calf area is tight. I think with time they will loosen.
