I doubted that and decided it was so cheap I could cut the padding out for my 5 yr old, but there was none. The flip flops are of course cheap and smelly and the wrong size. For example I ordered size six suit for my 5 yr old girl and a in the boys version, a 10 for my son. The flip flops were the same size for both. Too big for the 5 yr old and too small for the 9 yr old.
