I have to agree. It's going to be perfect for travel, but I will use this on hikes and around town as well because it's so well designed that your back doesn't get hot and the compartments are well thought out! If you load it with rocks for some reason you will find the weight distribution options helpful too.

I figured even if I did get it back on it was likely to fall off again. My Osprey packs have much more robust looking sternum attachments. That said, this is a sweet pack otherwise! Nice size; I like the ability to expand it; it fit well; thoughtful features.

It is a tiny backpack, and can't hold a standard 1" binder. That being said, I wish I could keep it. I ordered it in the purple, which is beautiful. It is well crafted. The frame keeps the backpack from resting on your back, so there is plenty of space for venting. The chest strap is adjustable so it accommodates the 'ladies'. The waist strap has really nice padding. The rain cover is tucked nicely away in it's own pocket on the bottom (in a super bright orange color). There is a zipper to expand how much it holds, but not by much. If I were using it for biking or a day hike, it would be absolutely perfect. Problem is, I want a backpack that is a bit more versatile, and that could carry a book or two.
