He is not able to put on shoes that have a heel back so he can slide in these. With the sheepskin lining his feet keep warm and do not perspire as with synthetic fiber. However, we have large rugs throughout the house. These slipper soles do not slide over the rugs which can make for a tripping fall. I am also getting him a pair of boiled wool slippers with wool soles which will glide better over rugs. He will continue to wear his old friends.

I am told that they are very warm and soft. The tread is also very sturdy and he could (if he were so inclined) wear them out as shoes. His previous pair of slippers were faux sheepskin which A. didn't even keep his feet warm and B. stank! Real sheepskin is both warm and won't hold bad odors. These were a great value for real sheepskin slippers.

After reviewing the package, I realized that the slippers were actually men's 8/women's 10. This was annoying because my search criteria was for "women's shoes", size 8 so these slippers should never have shown up for me to purchase. (A rare glitch for STP) They are nice slippers so I was disappointed that I couldn't exchange for a smaller size but they had to go back.
