After a lengthy but worthwhile unpack ordeal, I inspected the kayak which appears brand new. If there is a factory 2nd, try and find why ! Great investment for the price. The rudder assembly will be greatly appreciated. Nice looking kayak, in white and ample storage in the hatch for day excursions. I plan on only being on the lakes and rivers with this one however. The 13' 6" size is plenty big and at 50lbs enough to handle for me loading and unloading. I'm spoiled from a 35lb kayak made of lighter weight materials. Cost was a factor here or I would have invested in a lighter kayak. We'll give this one a go in a week or so. After pricing around STP was the best deal going. Keep in mind the only negative factor here I have is the shipping times and ability to track it. You can not do that as I found out, as far as tracking onsite. I was given a mystery date for delivery but the trucker called the day of delivery and I happened to be home. I am pleased with the packing to avoid damage but like to know when and how the delivery would be made especially when the STP site shows a Track It number. I had to call customer service to find out why, and this should be noted regarding the tracking.
