Using it on a 6/7 Switch Rod -- Excellent PerformanceVerified Buyer Reviewed by Anonymous from Alaska on Saturday, January 30, 2016This reel has the capacity, drag, and ease of handling that makes it a superb companion for my Beulah Classic 6/7 wt, 10'6" Switch Rod. It's a bit heavier than many of the current lightweight reels -- which is just what you need to properly balance a rod (like a Switch) that has any weight to it. Drag adjustment knob is easy to control, even when fighting a fish -- and the drag itself is excellent, with minimal start-up inertia and a smooth action throughout it range. I've fished a Trion for many years, and grown to love its performance, but this President is even better! Great product at an excellent price.

Drag has many settings making it easy to fine tune. Spool holds more than enough line for a 5/6 weight and has the appropriate mass for a 6wt rod. I would highly recommend this reel for people from all walks. Also has very nice asthetics.
