It isn't overpoweringly warm, but is definitely warm enough for 30s-40s weather, and is completely waterproof. The color stands out and has reflective trim around the pockets for more visibility. The hood seems well designed and stays on well. He likes the soft cuffs as well. It's a great product for us.
