I bought this shirt as an experiment, and found it to be nearly indistinguishably good, at least so far. I've only worn it a few times so we'll see weather it has the same durability and lack of odor after several wash/wear cycles.
One thing to note: This shirt is almost identical in style to the Icebreaker Tech Lite long-sleeved T, but with a prominent super.natual logo on the left bicep. Also, size up one size for this vs. Icebreaker. -

It dries much faster than pure merino as well due to the polyester. I very much prefer a blend of the two, and this shirt delivers. I'm not too sure about the durability for backpacking though. One overnight and the shoulders have started piling. It is only 140 weight though, so I'm not entirely surprised.
I'm 6'5" and 190 lbs. While the body fits well, the sleeves are a couple inches too short. I should've went with a large at the expense of having a slightly larger than necessary stomach area (a common problem for tall/skinny folk).
Overall quite pleased for the price and I would buy again (in large). -

Love this long-sleeved base layer and its feel. It really hugs your body and creates a warmth that is awesome for a shirt of this price. The shirt is lightweight yet definitely shields from the cooler weather.
Would definitely purchase another one of these. Well made and had great service from Sierra. Love this site and this shirt!

The wool started to pile after one wash so will remember to turn inside out everytime it goes in the wash. Fits as expected and the arms are long enough for my knuckle draggers!
