This is perfect for pulling out the oven rack, grabbing a pan with an edge, and lifting off a pan lid. It doesn't replace a full-size mitt that you'd need for other uses, but I reach for this much more often then any other pot holder or mitt. I plan to give sets as stocking stuffers.

They are, however, smaller than I had thought. I worry about burning my fingers because they are so small. I have a silicone grip that pretty much covers my hand (it's in the shape of a dog) and I much prefer using that over these. No issues with the product, just smaller than I would have liked.

It is not big enough to touch food by mistake and is very tactile due to the grips. My entire family loves this.
