A Comfortable and Supportive ShoeVerified Buyer Reviewed by Anonymous from CA on Sunday, January 17, 2016I'm a high school teacher, so I'm on my feet all day and I have to walk considerable distances between the copy room, guidance office and other locations. A fashion shoe would not be a sensible choice for me, but runners are also not my preferred fashion statement. I'm not a coach. This shoe is ideal for me. It has a rustic, but semi-professional look and above all, it is extremely comfortable and supportive to my arches. I wear orthopedic inserts to correct my walk and they fit perfectly inside the shoe. I do have to remove the shoe's insole, but the material of the shoe's sole is soft yet firm enough to soothe my feet. The orthotic is made of hard plastic that has to be heated to shape it to my foot. My size is generally between an 8 1/2 and 9, that rarely means I have to wear size 91/2 in order to fit the insole comfortably. This was the last size available and lucky me, I got it!

Made in Slovakia, the quality and the fit are outstanding. I have a pair of their trail shoes I bought nearly 12 years ago, and I'm still running around in them. Due to the good fit, I can wear my "normal" size of 7.5.
(Some others I have to jump to an 8) I think the European sizes give a little more wiggle room and just fit better. LOVE these shoes. -

Nice but wish toe was rounder, and tongue gussets showedReviewed by Patricia from NJ on Sunday, December 13, 2015The toe box, though not narrow, is not quite as rounded as I need, so my toes felt just a little cramped. From the midfoot to the heel they fit great (my feet are slimmer there). I got my normal size, 8.5M and tried it on with medium-cushion socks. I returned them and didn't try a larger size because there was one other problem. The tongue is made of the same dark leather as the shoe, but with thin gray side gussets sewn to the shoe (which appear to be Gore-tex fabric), and the leather part wasn't wide enough to hide the gussets when the shoes are laced. It was very noticeable on the left shoe, and barely so on the right shoe (though I was concerned if the tongue shifted while walking you'd see it on the right shoe too). Otherwise, they are nice looking, well made shoes.

These are not the same model, but they are very comfortable, too. I have been having trouble with my feet and needed something comfortable. I have to stand all day and these do the trick. They are good looking, too. I ordered my usual size and they are perfect.
