Don't know how practical it will be as the glass is fairly thin and it basically needs to be taken apart to access the various tiers so probably not good for heavy usage. May fill the various layers with colored glass balls as Christmas decoration.

The lid that was on the one I received, actually had a few, tiny nicks on it. The unpolished edges of the dishes seemed ready to get nicks if you put anything in them as it seemed even the glass bottom pf the dish would nick the edge of the below dish. I really wanted to use this in the bathroom but surely don't want glass bits in cotton balls. If you wanted to show beach glass or any other decorator items, I think this might work. It is not up to continued opening and stacking.
