Most Helpful 5-Star Review

5.0 out of 5 stars. This model is Not for skis with NIS bonded plates, be sure to check first.

I'm sure these bindings are fine but they don't work with any ski with a bonded NIS plate. Rottefella makes a different binding, an NIS-NNN model for this type of ski mounting. I purchased some Madshus skis from STP that did not list they had the bonded NIS plate, but they did, so had to return these bindings. STP at that time had no bindings that would work with NNN boots on skis with NIS plates so had to go elsewhere. STP makes it easy to return.

    Work great.
  • 5.0 out of 5 stars. Nice product, no instructions

These bindings worked perfectly on my wifes skis. Her NNN boots locked in and released very easily.
My only problem was that there were no instructions and not everyone buying from Sierra is a professional installer.
I did get them mounted correctly but a simple instruction sheet would have helped.

You definitely get what you pay for with the quality of these bindings. They function well, but don't expect these to last very long if you are an avid skier.
  • 5.0 out of 5 stars. Good XC ski bindings

Easy to install, appear to be well made, function well

About Rottefella

Rottefella is Norwegian for “rat trap,” which is how their inventor described the look of the first split-toe bindings, created in 1927. Some of the top-rated bindings on the market, Rottefella ski bindings are designed to adjust to variable snow conditions, taking full advantage of the ski’s potential. Rottefella bindings for telemark offer the simplicity and security of an alpine binding while offering the option of a loose heel. And cross-country skiers appreciate Rottefella bindings for their balance, forward thrust and grip, meaning less wax.
