It's more fitted and slimming for a very warm, long hooded jacket that will serve you on very cold days. I am 5'7", 128, ordered the large to accommodate layers, and it's just right to roomy. It hits me mid to upper thigh. I could have used the medium but didn't want it to be snug. It's not overly stuffed and puffy. The double pockets are great. The red trends seriously toward orange but not neon. Very nice. Will be visible in the snow and dark of winter! Couldn't pass it up at this price.

The hood is a requirement for a down coat. It is a waste to buy one without a hood unless your hairdo is more important then staying warm. This coat is much longer then most which is also a must for those of us with a long torso.
