4.0 out of 5 stars. Long Lasting Versatile ShowReviewed by Liz from Florida on Tuesday, April 3, 2018This shoe took a little while to break in, since it has that hiking boot feel at first. But now I wear them when I work out, hike, run, travel, and even during the 8 hours of standing at work. They are a great shoe with lots of comfortable support. However, they really make your feet stinky and sweaty. I tried different socks, and using baking soda to eliminate the sent and wetness factor, but I have not had any luck yet. I have had these shoes for two years now and wear them everyday, they still look new and show no signs of wear n tear- in my opinion thats a Great Deal! Most shoes are so cheaply made these days, but I think these ones are worth every penny. The colors are cute too!

1.0 out of 5 stars. Feet wet and mold under paddingReviewed by Anonymous from South La on Thursday, January 25, 2018I thought these were going to be the end of my journey to finding the perfect shoe to work in. I own a lawn service in south Louisiana and that means lots of humidity and moisture on the ground in the mornings. For the first few weeks they did great. Then I started to notice the side stiches were coming undone where your foot bends from walking. I walk about 8-10 miles per day with this work. That was something I could deal with because it happens to all my shoes. After a couple of months I noticed my socks were wet soon after I put my shoes on in the morning. This was baffling me. I finally decided to pull out the inside sole and I found it was still wet, how I'm not sure since these are waterproof, and had black mold all over. I literally sprayed bleach on the entire inside of the shoe and watched it turn colors as mold does. I let it dry out and tried to wear them again but they kept getting wet. I don't work but 5-6 hours a day so the shoes should have time to dry if they were wet from sweat. I bought these on 7/28/2017 and stopped wearing them before Thanksgiving. I don't think 3 months of use is acceptable. I would not recommend these.

5.0 out of 5 stars. I Couldn't Be Happier!!Verified Buyer Reviewed by Anonymous from Illinois on Thursday, January 18, 2018I saw these and I wasn't quite sure if I wanted to try a hiker until I read the good review another shopper gave them because of the good fit. I truly am a satisfied customer. They are water repellent and the fit is true to size. This is my first go with the Ahnu brand, but definitely not my last.

5.0 out of 5 stars. Best low waterproof hikersVerified Buyer Reviewed by Rebe the gardener from Colorado on Thursday, December 7, 2017Formerly a Keen wearer, but have been unhappy with the fit of these in recent years. Have tried multiple low hikers for years and finally took a risk and ordered these Ahnu shoes. I love them. Took them to Europe and hiked the rugged Alps in them, yet comfortable and good looking enough to wear to town.

5.0 out of 5 stars. Comfortable and waterproofReviewed by Karunacompass from Texas on Tuesday, November 14, 2017I wore these for 3 months while volunteering in South Africa and definitely tested their limits. They have been completely sunk to the top in mud, but I washed them off in the sink and they were good as new, just with a good “these aren’t brand new” look to them. The reinforced sole protected me from sharp rocks and gigantic thorns. And no matter how much it rained or how many times I slipped in the mud, my feet NEVER got wet. They’ve also been on a 6-mile volcano hike in the Galápagos Islands - not a blister in sight. I highly recommend them for hiking, probably overkill for an everyday sneaker. (I got the gray ones, but bought them on sale at a retail store because STP didn’t have them at the time.)

1.0 out of 5 stars. Expensive Slip & Slide... Uncomfortable SoleReviewed by Anonymous from Portsmouth, NH on Thursday, September 21, 2017I encouraged my mother to purchase the Anhu Sugarpine Hiking Shoe because I saw based on Amazon reviews that they were lightweight and comfortable... ideal during our trip to Norway/Finland as our regular walking/airplaine/hiking shoe. My mother tested her pair before we left, and she said they were uncomfortable and she slipped and fell on rocks (dry and wet) 3 times and screwed up her knee and hip which affected her throughout our 10-day vacation.
My shoes unfortunately arrived later than I expected so I didn’t have a chance to wear them before the vacation. Originally, I chalked up my mother’s review of the “slippery” shoes to her dis-coordination. Fortunately, I have my dad’s athletic genes, so when I slipped on wet granite curb, I knew these shoes were an issue. I tried being brave by hiking as I would in sneakers until I slipped on both dry and wet rocks. I spent the rest of the time in Norway hiking slowly and down rocks on my hands and butt.
I am very disappointed in these shoes, and discourage Sierra Trading Post from selling these. The website even describes them as “a light hiker that's ready to take on the creek crossings and mucky trails!”. These hiking shoes should be NOwhere near creeks, muck mud, trails, rocks, or H20. They are not safe to hike in. Both my mother and I also complained about their comfort and we gave them 10-day vacation to break in. By the end of the vacation, I was wearing flip flops in cold Norwegian weather because these hikers were so uncomfortable and unsafe even on cobblestone city streets.
If I were reading this, I would think this sounds dramatic. I don’t do drama, but I do comedy: If anything, please sell these in Outdoor Living > Outdoor Games > Slip & Slides!

5.0 out of 5 stars. Awesome shoesReviewed by Andrea S. from NC on Wednesday, September 20, 2017These are very comfortable even though I have plantar fasciitis. I tried them on in a store but ordered from here since the price is much better. They work well for hiking or as regular casual shoes. I've worn them through shallow water and mud and they clean easily when wiped.
