I have bunions and needed a wide toe box, lightweight, waterproof boot to walk the Camino. No break in period. I have worn these on a couple of extensive hikes to train and no foot issues. I normally wear 9.5 in running shoe and bought these in same size. They do run a little large but with medium Smartwool sock and thin liner = perfect fit to allow for swelling. Even better with STP Sale Price as they are spendy at normal retail.

Great BootsVerified Buyer Reviewed by Hiker from California on Friday, May 15, 2015Purchased these boots two years ago and have put 1,000 miles on them in tough conditions such as a 23 day himalaya hike, Grand Canyon, and many Sierra trips. In Nepal they were excellent at 10 degrees F, 18,000 elevation, snow, rain and in hot weather as well. They feel like I am wearing slippers. Both boots recently developed tears in the upper area near the toes so I have purchased a replacement pair. I will continue to use the old ones for short day hikes during good weather.
