5.0 out of 5 stars. These pants are AWESOME!

I wasn't sure about getting these because there were no reviews and while Patagonia clothing is as good as it gets, its sizing can be inconsistent. I gave it a try and I'm glad a did. These are the most comfortable, flattering fishing/hiking pants I own. I'm 5'9", 135lbs and the size 6 fits perfectly. I have small hips and no butt so they are a tad loose here, but still look fine and would be good for anyone who was more evenly proportioned. I only wish they were convertible, but they dry quickly, resist stains and light rain and the roll up feature is a good length (just below the knees). I'm ordering pair in another color.

  • 4.0 out of 5 stars. Great hiking pants, but they're not actually convertible.

First off, note that these are not actually convertible pants, despite the description here on STP. That said, they're great all-purpose hiking pants, lightweight and cool. (They're easy to layer under, also.) The pockets on the sides of the legs are unobtrusive (read: not hideous) but useful for a phone or trail map.

One warning: They do stretch out substantially over the course of a day. Since no size 2 was available when I bought them, I bought a 4, which fit fine when I first put them on—but by the end of a long hike, they're hanging down near my hips and baggy in the butt. Based on that, I'd say go with your usual size, even if it seems a little tight at first.
  • 4.0 out of 5 stars. great cloth

Very nice material for a quick dry hiking pant. These would be great if you can find the correct size. I ordered a size 10 which turned out to be way too big (I'm a 30 inch waist and can wear a size 6 in Carhart jeans).

  • 4.0 out of 5 stars. Great pants, but strange sizing

I am a 5'7" and 137lbs. I usually take 4-6 in pants. I have an athletic build, but the 6 is way too small so because the quality of these pants is so great, I gave it 4 stars, but definitely the sizing, based on other reviews as well as my experience indicates it is hit or miss. I just hope the 8 isnt too big.
  • 5.0 out of 5 stars. perfect fit

This pants fitted me perfectly both in length and width. I am 5"2, 130 lbs and size 6. They look really good and were comfy for hiking.
  • 3.0 out of 5 stars. Tight in the hips, large in the legs

Great quality, wonderful fabric, but they did not fit. A larger size would only have had bigger legs, so I sent them back.
