They were a fraction uncomfortable out of the box, but after wearing them for an just an hour or two around the house, they felt really good. Sturdy and very well crafted, but reasonably comfortable for dress shoes. And yes, I would say these are more "dressy" than casual, but can probably work for either setting or attire. Very impressive shoes!
