We did a lot of walking and these boots were great! I didn't get them in time to wear them in and had little trouble on our trip. They are very comfortable and are wide enough in the ankle to zip over a pair of pants. It was very cold on our trip (5-15 degrees F) and worn with a wool sock my feet stayed warm and dry. Also, pretty lightweight which was great for packing and walking! I would purchase these again!

I live in Colorado and have worn them in very cold weather, snow, sleet, and even rain. My feet have stayed warm and dry! I am a size 9.5, and these fit true to size. They have good support and are my go-to boot when I need to head to the dog park or on a hike when it is cold and/or snowing. In addition to being fabulously functional, they are really cute. I get compliments on them all the time. Recommend whole heartedly!

They had no traction what so ever on ice, and I had to remove them on a couple of times to prevent a fall. There is no support in the soles and which caused me extreme foot pain in the balls of my feet when wearing my shoes, after wearing the boots for several weeks. I had to add arch supports in the boots and in my shoes to correct the pain. Also, a breeding ground for fungus.

They are so comfortable (yes, I fit in them too!), very stable for walking and with the tread they should be fine in in snow and ice. Merrell has a good reputation for lasting and these seem very well made. There is room in the foot area for thicker socks but not too much, making the boot unstable for walking.
Would purchase again, and am assuming that they will be perfect for a cold campus winter! -
