I am a size 12 and the large (12-14) is a good fit with light clothing. It would not fit over a heavy sweater or wool suit--order up if you want to wear it with heavy winter clothing.

I had to return the coat as it was too small. Very disappointing size, but the coat is stellar. Sorry a large size was not available.

It's just the right weight for my relatively mild winter climate where our low temperatures are in the high 20s to 30s. The outer shell is soft and not too rustley, the sleeves in Size S are long enough for my tall skinny frame, and the pockets are lines with polarfleece. Plus...it's cute and not at all bulky for a down coat.

Initially the large was too large and the medium too small. I ordered another large just in case it was a fluke and it was too small. I suspect there are issues in quality control depending on where the coats were manufactured.
