5.0 out of 5 stars. Love these- already bought a second pair

Very warm and comfortable. The wide waste band is perfect. They come a couple inches above low-rise jeans, they fit snug - not tight- and are very soft. I am 5'6", 138 lbs, thick thighs and butt, the Medium fits perfectly. I should note- I am wearing these under jeans to hike and walk, I have not yet warn them for anything vigorous, but walked my dogs for an hour, temp 7 degrees, and I was toasty! Highly recommend these!

  • 5.0 out of 5 stars. Warm

Warm and fuzzy in inside nice base layer but still cute enough to wear as winter leggings
  • 2.0 out of 5 stars. Polyester with only a little wool

I bought these because they were supposed to be wool. They were not wool but a baggy, high-waisted polyester with some wool added in. Returned.
  • 4.0 out of 5 stars. Comfortable but not recommended for active sports

Fit true to size, I'm 5'5", 136 lbs, athletic build and ordered a small. The base layer would perfect for hiking or wearing around town. I didn't feel they had enough 'stretch' for more active sports. The fabric didn't give enough around the knees and hips to be comfortable snowboarding.
  • 4.0 out of 5 stars. Trim, comfy fit + warm & toasty on coldest days (might be too much of a good thing on other days)...

I have been buying Terramar's Woolskins for several years and like them a lot. I was looking to replace some that have finally become too thin & tattered to wear and was disappointed to find that they seem to be discontinued (or at least I haven't been able to find any in my size and they are not currently listed on the brand's website). I purchased several Terramar styles including these and I am very happy with all of them so far but these are among my favorites...I ended up buying these in the black and purple & the matching tops as well. I think these run slightly smaller than other Terramar base layers, but not so much that I need to size up. I like the wide waistband and the contoured seaming--the fit is flattering, trim, & very comfortable; the waist doesn't roll over and they stay up well and are easy to move around in. These are very warm and don't lose shape or become baggy at the knee or rear & are not too bulky so they fit under most of my clothing (not my slimmest fitting jeans, however--when I want to wear those, I find the Thermolator base layer works best--thin and sleek, but not quite as warm). These launder well (I wash in cold water, delicate cycle & hang-dry) and they still look nice and no shrinkage but there is some slight pilling (the reason I gave these 4 stars rather than 5). The rise & length is just about perfect, too (I am 5'4" and find some Terramar styles to be too short and others much too long and I like the more modern fit at the waist that these offer). I still like my remaining decent pairs of Woolskins, and would definitely buy them if they became available again, but these are also excellent for those really cold days when regular base layers aren't quite enough-these are a great addition to my collection of cool weather clothing & I will be looking for them again next year!

they seem to run just a little small. I had to return the original pair for the next size up. Other than that they seem great. I plan to use them on my excursion to Chile!!
