2.0 out of 5 stars. Polyester with only a little woolVerified Buyer Reviewed by Sara from Washington on Sunday, March 5, 2017I bought these because they were supposed to be wool. They were not wool but a baggy, high-waisted polyester with some wool added in. Returned.

4.0 out of 5 stars. Comfortable but not recommended for active sportsVerified Buyer Reviewed by Taylor K from Virginia on Thursday, February 2, 2017Fit true to size, I'm 5'5", 136 lbs, athletic build and ordered a small. The base layer would perfect for hiking or wearing around town. I didn't feel they had enough 'stretch' for more active sports. The fabric didn't give enough around the knees and hips to be comfortable snowboarding.

4.0 out of 5 stars. Trim, comfy fit + warm & toasty on coldest days (might be too much of a good thing on other days)...Verified Buyer Reviewed by Gloria from Southern California on Monday, December 26, 2016I have been buying Terramar's Woolskins for several years and like them a lot. I was looking to replace some that have finally become too thin & tattered to wear and was disappointed to find that they seem to be discontinued (or at least I haven't been able to find any in my size and they are not currently listed on the brand's website). I purchased several Terramar styles including these and I am very happy with all of them so far but these are among my favorites...I ended up buying these in the black and purple & the matching tops as well. I think these run slightly smaller than other Terramar base layers, but not so much that I need to size up. I like the wide waistband and the contoured seaming--the fit is flattering, trim, & very comfortable; the waist doesn't roll over and they stay up well and are easy to move around in. These are very warm and don't lose shape or become baggy at the knee or rear & are not too bulky so they fit under most of my clothing (not my slimmest fitting jeans, however--when I want to wear those, I find the Thermolator base layer works best--thin and sleek, but not quite as warm). These launder well (I wash in cold water, delicate cycle & hang-dry) and they still look nice and no shrinkage but there is some slight pilling (the reason I gave these 4 stars rather than 5). The rise & length is just about perfect, too (I am 5'4" and find some Terramar styles to be too short and others much too long and I like the more modern fit at the waist that these offer). I still like my remaining decent pairs of Woolskins, and would definitely buy them if they became available again, but these are also excellent for those really cold days when regular base layers aren't quite enough-these are a great addition to my collection of cool weather clothing & I will be looking for them again next year!

5.0 out of 5 stars. Great butVerified Buyer Reviewed by mag from Vt on Thursday, December 1, 2016they seem to run just a little small. I had to return the original pair for the next size up. Other than that they seem great. I plan to use them on my excursion to Chile!!

5.0 out of 5 stars. warmVerified Buyer Reviewed by Anonymous from Ohio on Tuesday, November 22, 2016These tights/leggings are perfect under wind pants for cold morning bike commutes. On my ride home in the evening I wear them by themselves. I'm pleased with this purchase!

5.0 out of 5 stars. Great mix of natural and syntheticVerified Buyer Reviewed by Carpenter Hiker from Michigan on Friday, November 18, 2016I started off with the top that matches these bottoms. I was skeptical of the synthetic materials since I hike and backpack and don't like the residual stink that can happen. The top quickly became my favorite cold weather top, so I ordered the bottom to match. Love them!

4.0 out of 5 stars. cozyVerified Buyer Reviewed by Deep croc luver from Grand Rapids, MI on Thursday, November 3, 2016I like that they are made of a wool blend. Hiking and being outdoors in the winter makes you a little cold in the legs and these will hopefully provide me some comfort. I wish these were more high in the waist or the elastic around the waist band was more tighter.. I feel like I have to keep them up
