5.0 out of 5 stars. Exactly what I neededVerified Buyer Reviewed by Snakejumper from Las Vegas, NV on Monday, February 1, 2016Purchased this jacket to be warmer on the cooler nights. So far I have been happy. I will be testing it out on a backpacking trip this coming weekend.

4.0 out of 5 stars. Much better than expected.Reviewed by Willie from Texas on Thursday, January 28, 2016I bought this with low expectations. At this price point I consider it a throwaway jacket.
I needed a warm layer for an upcoming camping trip with night time lows to the mid 20s, but did not want to spend much.
I also had no expectation of being able to test it out prior to the trip as I live in the Houston, TX area.
This morning it was 25 degrees and 80% or higher humidity. Frost everywhere and chilly cold. I decided what better time than now. The jacket feels VERY light and moves easily. Within minutes of putting it on I can feel the reflective layer doing its work and warming me immediately. I can even see myself unzipping if I was doing more than walking around or driving. Very warm, and with a good shell i can see it being usable well below these temperatures.
As far as fit, I have an XXL. I am 6'2", 245lbs and athletic build with a 51 inch chest and 35 inch waist. The shoulders and chest fit well, waist is a bit baggy, and the arms are slightly snug. -
5.0 out of 5 stars. Light, Warm, ComfortableVerified Buyer Reviewed by Mac the traveler from Kansas on Tuesday, January 19, 2016I walk early in the mornings. This jacket is perfect for 15 to 35 degree workouts. It fits nice, not to tight but not sloppy. I've got a rack full of jackets that are OK but.... This one is a keeper.

5.0 out of 5 stars. Sturdy, light and well proportionedReviewed by GSD Girl from Arlington, WA on Monday, October 12, 2015I'm a female who was looking for a 1x sized puffy coat with a hood for dog walking, farm chores, and just general use that could hold up to a little rain and be machine washable, so didn't want anything too delicate. The selection of women's coats here were sized too snug -- I wanted something that would comfortably fit over fleece or other mid-layer, but not so big that it'd look like I was wearing my dad's coat. Similar jackets from Mountain Hardwear and Marmot were lighter and thinner (probably better for mid-layers rather than as a winter coat) and considerably bigger and longer in the torso and sleeves, so did look way too big on me. This one in an XL fit my 5'5" frame comfortably (right in the ballpark of a women's 1x/xxl), hitting just below my butt which I like, and the sleeves are possibly a hair long (so would be fine on someone a bit taller/longer limbed) but not at all significantly, especially with the stretchy cuffs holding them in place. It's still very light weight and comfy but feels a little sturdier than the more technical/packable jackets and maybe a little more insulated so hopefully warmer though I haven't had the chance to see about that yet. I'm glad this one won out as I'm a huge fan of the Columbia story so am always happy to wear their stuff. Go, Ma Boyle!
