5.0 out of 5 stars. So good I bought them twiceReviewed by Rockhopper from Indiana on Thursday, February 2, 2017Took a chance on these the first time I bought them and they rapidly became one of my favorite pair of boots. Very comfortable, very well made and they receive more compliments than any other boot I own. I have a wide foot and normally an Italian lasted boot is a bit narrow and problematic for me, but these in "M" feet my size 10 feet very well. I'd been watching closely and hadn't seen them show up in stock for awhile so when they did I quickly grabbed a second pair as a backup. Haven't received them yet, but assuming the size and construction is consistent from pair to pair I'm going to be very happy to see these show up on my doorstep.

5.0 out of 5 stars. All Alico boots are great....Verified Buyer Reviewed by baronvonhaus from PA on Thursday, August 25, 2016The fit was about right, could have had just a little more space in the box, but ok and should break in fine.

5.0 out of 5 stars. greatReviewed by bill from folsom, ca on Friday, August 19, 2016i read the previous reviews, i agree with all of them with one exception. i think these boots will breathe well. they are not water proof. they are exactly what i wanted, being light, good looking, flexible, not waterproof. they are perfect for day hikes on rough trails. might even work for a summer back pack. probably not best choice for snow or real wet conditions or climbing rocks. just as my mountaineering boots are the wrong boots for day hikes on rough trails. i am not going to waterproof these. BTW these are REALLY good looking. Italian style i guess. and their fit is perfect - i have size 12 feet, size 12 fits great with one thick sock and a liner. no heel slip (probably because the boot is so flexible). lots of room toes.

5.0 out of 5 stars. Good feel, fits true to sizing.Verified Buyer Reviewed by Anonymous from Kentucky on Wednesday, July 27, 2016This will be an easy break in, very comfortable first steps but I hate to spoil the finish. Flawless workmanship. Unbeatable price. Highly recommended.

4.0 out of 5 stars. Great boots, but...Verified Buyer Reviewed by Christian in the Mojave from California on Thursday, May 19, 2016Bought these as replacements for some other boots I had worn out after many years of hiking. I like these boots for most applications. Good size toe box and width. Their construction seems excellent. They seem to fit true to size. Because they are leather, they take a bit to break in. They look good with jeans.
Now the down side. If you are hiking in hot climates these probably are not a good choice. While they are not insulated, they are fully leather, fully gusseted with little air exchange when hiking; therefore your feet will get warm and sweaty. More modern materials have better characteristics to be taken advantage of. Again, in cooler weather, they're great. -
5.0 out of 5 stars. Alico Nomad Hiking BootsVerified Buyer Reviewed by Anonymous from Oregon on Sunday, March 27, 2016These boots are very well made, and compare to boots costing twice as much. I wanted a light boot for trail walking, and around town during the winter. They have a narrow heel, which fits my foot very well. With only a couple seams, they should be reasonably waterproof.

5.0 out of 5 stars. True Value & Truly ValuableVerified Buyer Reviewed by InCentral from SC Foothills on Sunday, February 28, 2016My second pair of Alico boots. The Summits were first and are luxurious, heavy duty hikers that will save your feet from injury.
I purchased the Nomads to replace my old Wolverine workboots. At first I was ambivalent to the style but they are Italian and they are very well made and very light. The full gusset is important to me as well as a stitched on vibram sole and the added benefit of ankle support has saved me already. Break in is minimal and the more I use them, the more I like. A very good looking, well fitting boot that I even prefer over athletic type hikers for short treks. Buy good leather shoes! At least one pair to alternate with the others because if the time comes to have to cover ground, these boots will stay dry, clean and keep your feet well for miles and miles. Keep an eye for the added incentives and discounts that make STP a truly unique marketplace. -
5.0 out of 5 stars. Don't buy theseReviewed by I. M. Un Happy from CALIFORNIA on Wednesday, December 9, 2015These boots are absolutely fantastic. Great fit. Great leather. Great deal. The only reason I say "Don't buy these" is that I may want to get another pair or pairs and I don't want them to be sold out.
