5.0 out of 5 stars. Smartwool convert!

I am a big fan of Smartwool socks but these socks were a little less dough so thought I would try them out. Recently did a 4 day backpacking trip with these. Started with the Smartwool socks and was beginning to develop hot spots after the first day. Tried these my second day and no longer any hot spots. Used them for the rest of the trip and very happy with the comfort and fit. Time will tell as to their durability.

  • 4.0 out of 5 stars. Finally! Some Good Hiking Socks!

These are pretty good socks! They fit perfectly with the combination of my foot and my hiking boots! They're warm and cozy! I'd love if they were somehow a little more breathable - but on the other hand I don't really expect hiking socks to be breathable. You probably wouldn't be too disappointed if you bought these socks.
  • 4.0 out of 5 stars. Thicker than I expected

These socks are quite heavy which is a good thing for hikers and for wearing in boots. I don't see them being used for every day wear. Merino wool is always a good choice.

They were thinner than I hoped. But they're very warm, comfortable, and surprisingly breathable. I like the color, coyote tan. Waaayy...worth buying at this price!

About Woolrich

The esteemed Woolrich clothing company has come a long way since the early 1800s, when founder John Rich sold socks to logging camps from the back of his mule cart. By 1830, Rich had built America’s first woolen mill in Pennsylvania, and it wasn’t long before Woolrich blankets and clothing became a household name. Over the years, this trusted American brand has enhanced its woolens and other fabrics with contemporary textures, dying techniques and washes, all designed to improve performance and comfort for the modern consumer. Today, after nearly two centuries of putting customers first, Woolrich bedding and clothing is still beloved by those who enjoy the great outdoors and all those who appreciate quality.
