Good quality cashmere--very light weight for the warmth factor--great for packing for winter travel. It's a big odd to have a 3/4 length sleeve in a warm sweater, but since I often push long sleeves up to 3/4 anyway, it works for me.
Color is a crimson red--beautiful.
