Not as Great as Usual for BornReviewed by Nikki from VA on Tuesday, August 11, 2015While this sandal is good looking, I feel it is less comfortable, with less support, than other Born sandals, though this is my first purchase in the Crown line. I guess I thought Crown was their premium line, and so the sandals would be more comfortable, but not so. The biggest issue for me is that the sandals are not snug at the toe post, so my foot moves around a lot -- to the point of falling out of the sandal at the big toe. Overall, these are okay -- I have walked miles and miles in them-- but not as great as the other sandals I've had from Born.

I'm hoping the leather over the instep of the shoe will stretch a bit. The thong is not quite snug between my toes, but I like the shoe so much, and honestly, my foot is not the most normal - rather wide and in between sizes. I need a dressy shoe like this for super hot weather.

Length wise it was the right choice. The width was ok but there wasn't a lot of room to spare. I worried a bit about rolling off of them. What finally convinced me to send them back was realizing that the straps at the wide part at the back of the shoe were quite loose making them sloppy to walk in and increasing the likelihood that I would misstep and possibly twist out or slide my toes off the sides.
These might work well if your feet are wide in front of the ankles. -
