5.0 out of 5 stars. comfortableVerified Buyer Reviewed by Cold-in-Mo from Mo on Saturday, February 20, 2016This is a very comfortable hat that does not constrict blood flow around your noggin! It is stretchy, warm and comfortable. The fleece lining is nice and it prevents any cold air leaks around the head. The size is large enough to pull down over your ears. I am very happy with this hat.

3.0 out of 5 stars. What can you say about a beanie? Think about the fleece lining!Verified Buyer Reviewed by Kellerdrake from Portland OR on Tuesday, February 16, 2016Well, the fleece lining is a whole-head lining, like a fleece cap-within-a-wool cap, so perspiration tends to collect inside the cap instead of venting out the top. Better for me at least if the fleece runs like a collar or donut around the bottom inside of the cap, to protect delicate ears from scratchy wool, and allow the unlined top portion of the cap to breath better. Good if S-T were to mention this, or even depict their caps inside-out. Do ya hear me S-T? :-)

5.0 out of 5 stars. Great LookVerified Buyer Reviewed by WNC hiker from Western NC on Friday, February 5, 2016I bought the gray beanie and find it to be a positive fit. The light gray rim on the hat, you'll find is a bit on the thin side, possibly to flap down over the ears if needed, so not tacked down which I wish it was because if your dealing with ear splitting cold, get a tougher hat. Perfect for upper teens temps and up, anything below that, and with a windchill, wear something more substantial.
All in all, good buy. -

5.0 out of 5 stars. Beefy BeanieVerified Buyer Reviewed by Alfein from Salt Lake City, UT on Monday, January 11, 2016I found these Chunky Beanie's and their cousins the "Solid" beanie. Both are great. The chunky appears to have thicker yarn (wool/acrylic) and thicker outer portion (as opposed to the fleece interior). With the larger yarn, you get more space between the yarn, which may be colder on the outside but has the benefit of trapping more warm air closer in to your head. (I assume based on experience.) The bottom of the Chunky has more of a head band (where it affects being folder over) for a wee bit of extra protection across the ears, forehead and upper nape. It looks and feels nice. It fits snugly without feeling like it is too loose it will fall off or too tight and will give me a headache. This was a great deal and I am now a fan of "Weatherproof".
