Overview

About Burton Sloan Jacket (For Women)

Closeouts. "It's kind of a modern pea coat" gets you started on describing Burton's Sloan jacket, but it doesn't quite cover all the bases. In addition to its pea-coat-inspired style -- modernized by an off-center front placket -- the Sloan also features a water-repellent finish and handy interior pocket with media port.

Most Helpful 5-Star Review

5.0 out of 5 stars. "Rugged" Peacoat

I had been looking for a simple fall coat. Fall in WI is unpredictable. It can be cold, warm, and wet all in one day. I knew I needed something water resistant and light (but lined!). This jacket is exactly that, PLUS cute!

I typically wear S/M tops, so I ordered a medium. It fits nicely over tees and long sleeves, but is uncomfortably snug for anything thicker than a light sweater. If you wanted to use it as a winter coat, I would order a size up.
It has a nice thin quilted liner.
There are only buttons in front, no zipper. That took a little getting use to but it does not affect the quality of the coat.
It has nice pockets, button and zipper.

  • 5.0 out of 5 stars. Perfect for a Petite

I'm 4'11" and the xs is perfect. The arms aren't too long and it doesn't swim on me. It's priced so well and worth every penny. It is also a great weight and I love that it's water resistant.

About Burton

One name will always remain synonymous with the snowboarding movement, and that name is Burton. Back in 1978, the sport of snowboarding was virtually unknown and completely on the fringe, but Jake Burton quit his day job to make snowboards in his living room anyway. By the 1980s, Burton snowboards were helping people discover a totally new and exhilarating way to carve the snow. More than thirty years later, Burton snowboards and bindings are still leading the industry with cutting-edge technologies and killer-looking designs, as are Burton boots. On the slopes, Burton jackets and pants are made to help you beat the elements and look great doing it. Long live winter.
