This short is very similar and great in many ways, material, length and looks. But like other comments made, they do run a tad small for said size. Love them, but a little tight in the crotch seams. They late practical for hiking in or to wear about town.

I was a bit wary of a plaid short, but these are actually kind of cool and sophisticated. The plaid is a bit more subtle than in the photo (I got the gray/black). These will look nice with two tops I have, one gray, one black, both long, sleeveless, and mock turtleneck. Good, simple look. Usually I wear a 4 or 6. In these I got the 6 and am glad I did. They fit well.

I wear a small and these fit me perfectly, the shorts have the pockets I need when hiking, including a leg zip pocket that holds my iPhone perfectly. I wear these shorts for all of my sports, hiking, blading, and biking. They wear very well, dry fast, and can take getting snaked on all sorts of debris out in the wilderness.
