I began to warm up as soon as I got it on but will have to wait until winter to put it to the true test. It is well made. I ordered an XL and it is just a little snug, but then I'm about a size 16-18. Can't wait until winter to cavort in the snow in style!

I'm sure it would be nice and warm, but the outer shell is extremely stiff and noisy, and the whole coat is so stiff that it would stand up with nobody in it. Plus it weighs enough to tire me out just getting it off the hanger.

I ordered a medium, (I am 5"8" 140) but it was too small for me to wear with a sweater (I live in Maine), so returned it for the large. And it fits perfectly. Long, warm. Nice cuffs so no cold air leakage. The hood comes off, thank goodness. A double zipper, so that is good also. Plus I wore it to bus duty on a windy cold day and I was warm!! I really like it.

I love the hood--keeps out the wind, only drawback is that you sacrifice peripheral vision for warmth. Only drawback is that the color is darker and slightly different shade than it appears to be in the picture.
