4.0 out of 5 stars. Well made leather bootsVerified Buyer Reviewed by Every Saturday hiker from California on Friday, July 29, 2016I tried once last weekend. It needs a little break in. But it seems ok after a couple of hours. Whole leather and sturdy. I have Asolo GTX 520 which I paid about $300 at REI. I paid $110 for this pair thanks to STP. They are same quality. I got excellent deal. Super. I love it.

1.0 out of 5 stars. Uncomfortable and not durableReviewed by Tim from Montana on Thursday, June 16, 2016The boots feel like snowboard or ski boots as if you're constantly leaning forward. New in soles helped a little bit. I've put less than 100 hours on these boots and they are falling apart. 2 lace hooks have broken off and the vibram out soles are literally crumbling apart. Not what I expect out of danners

4.0 out of 5 stars. Well built boot, but a poor fit for meVerified Buyer Reviewed by ACE from Alabama on Monday, April 25, 2016Well built boot with top quality components, but the fit was not there. I wear several pairs of stitch down construction Danner boots every day as a professional forester and I was supprised that the fit on the Crag Rat boot was not consistant with the other pairs. The toe box was extra roomy and its felt unusual to my feet. Unfortunately, I sent them back and received a refund. The EE in this boot is much wider than in the American made Danners.

3.0 out of 5 stars. Great boot but foot strike is weirdReviewed by vagabond49 from Mt Shasta, CA on Monday, February 22, 2016The quality of these boots is outstanding. They fit my narrow foot nicely. The caveat is that the heel as another reviewer mentioned only hits on the front two lugs. This puts a lot of extra pressure on the heel which I believe would not be pleasant or desirable when walking any distance.

3.0 out of 5 stars. Nicely made but has issuesVerified Buyer Reviewed by Rich from Northampton, MA on Saturday, February 20, 2016Nice looking and well made boot but ..... The "wide" size is extra wide and not accommodating to all who want a little extra wiggle room. The bottom sole has a weird feel. With the foot flat on the ground, only the very front of the heel is touching on the ends of the two front lugs. With weight on the heel, the front of the sole does not touch the ground. There does not seem to be a smooth transition from heel to toe as one might expect.
Really wanted these to work but unfortunately they were returned. -

4.0 out of 5 stars. Pretty Nice Boot for the BucksVerified Buyer Reviewed by Anonymous from Northern New Mex on Wednesday, February 3, 2016Well, I've only had these boots a few weeks now, but they've broken in nicely. They are made in China, so I am not sure how they will hold up over time. I'm planning to use these boots for backpacking and daily hiking. Overall, I'd say they are a nice boot and seem to be of quality components...but I've been surprised in the past by boots that I paid a lot of money for that didn't stand the test of time. Why is everything made in China these days???
