They are very lightweight and oh so soft and cozy. They seem as warm as the heavier polar fleece but the lighter weight IMHO doesn't overheat in the night as the heavier fleece will. After buying my first pair I returned to STP and bought two more. I also gave these to my mother as a Christmas gift and she loved them. She now also has three pairs. I've washed them several times and they wash well. Washing hasn't made then thinner or shed fleece. I'm 5'4" and the length was fine (perhaps a tiny bit long but not too much). Fit was exactly as expected.

These pants are butter soft and wash like a dream. It is obvious that this is high quality fleece offered at a low price. I bought 4 pair in XS for my daughters who are 5'4" and about 105 lbs.

They are not as thick or heavy as polar fleece but yet still very warm and cozy. I've washed them several times--no shrinkage and they still look new. Sizing is accurate. I'm a size 8-10 in the hips and the medium is perfect. Not snug and not overly roomy; just right.
