Unfortunately they were too small, and they don't have my size in this particular style. I exchanged them for the slightly taller version of the same. I usually wear an 8 to 8-1/2, and the 9 fits just right. The soles are very light weight and cushy, quiet rubber, almost like wearing slippers. They don't have much of an arch at all, but aren't completely flat either. I haven't given them the outdoor walking test yet, but I will likely be living in them indoors.
