3.0 out of 5 stars. Sizing runs largeVerified Buyer Reviewed by Anonymous from Florida on Tuesday, January 26, 2016I normally wear a 38, bought a 38, and was swimming in these shorts. Also, length seemed longer that the product description identified. So, these are large and long, but material and workmanship are certainly high quality typical of all Mountain Hardware products. I returned these and smaller sizes were no longer available. Great service from Sierra as is always the case.

5.0 out of 5 stars. Now his favorite shortsVerified Buyer Reviewed by Mimi Kitty from Oregon on Saturday, October 24, 2015After getting soaked hiking in Yosemite, I realized my guy needed to be wearing something other than heavy cotton shorts for hiking. Voila! He was concerned about the size (Medium for a 34 inch waist) but they fit very well. In Western Oregon, we will soon have the opportunity to try them again hiking in the rain. Great price, too.

4.0 out of 5 stars. Great Shorts, Long InseamVerified Buyer Reviewed by Jim T Mule from Rock Island, IL on Friday, September 4, 2015I bought these recently but had to return them because the inseam is just too long for me (almost 13") and I think they'd be hot in warm weather. They seem to be constructed very well and would hold up to a lot of abuse and I imagine the inseam is long because they're designed for reducing scrapes during climbing. If you have long legs or like to wear long shorts these might work well for you.

5.0 out of 5 stars. Husband Loves TheseVerified Buyer Reviewed by PuddleSplasherPDX from Portland, Oregon on Wednesday, September 2, 2015I bought these for my husband after he asked for a longer pair of shorts with an SPF rating and a sturdier fabric. These fit the bill and he wears them a couple times a week now. He says they are comfortable and run true to size and have pockets for all his important items like cell phone, knife, wallet, and the like. They fabric is slightly stretchy and yet durable. He wears them to work, hike, bike, and other active pursuits. He also loves the Maple color.

5.0 out of 5 stars. Outstanding shorts!Reviewed by Anonymous from Indianapolis on Thursday, August 13, 2015I'm so happy to find this short on STP. I have a pair I bought a year ago at another vendor at a much higher price. They are my favorite shorts I've ever owned. Unlike traditional synthetic nylon shorts that are very thin and fragile, these are a thick, tough material. But even though they're thicker, they still dry quickly and feel cool. Also, hard to see here, but they have a special liner around the waistband that makes them very comfortable. Very well made short and I'll be getting a few more pair.
