The seams along the side you sort of have to get used to but they definitely help with the slimming effect. They're amazing!!!

I'm 5'-10" and 150 lbs., and usually wear a size 12 or occasionally a 10. I ordered the large (size 12-14) and the waist was definitely too loose, while the thighs were too tight up near the groin, making for an unattractive look. I wished the inseam was an inch longer. I will be returning them.

They look nice, they're warm (but not sweat-inducing) and extremely comfortable - they have a wide elastic waistband, and the wool is not at all itchy. I'd call the fabric midweight. I've been wearing these for casual use in the winter so far, but I will probably try them for climbing or winter hiking at some point. I bought them in black, but I liked them so much I went back and bought them in gray too. I found the fit true to size - I'm 5'7" and 130 lbs and got the small, which fits perfectly.
