Two things of note are that the print is only on one side. The other is white and it is very stiff. I have another ExOfficio BugsAway bandana that I bought years ago that is soft and flexible and the same material on both sides that is much, much nicer.

My pistol range is loaded with ticks and I've never had one on my neck or head with these and a treated cap.

The quality was completely different the material was very stiff, I tried to wash it and it still was stiff. Not what I expected at all.

I thought that a bug repellent bandana would be preferable to spraying on a chemical repellent. I didn't even open the package when I read that bandana was treated with permethrin. There are various thoughts about the chemical, but I prefer to use more natural products. On a side note, the colors are nice.
